I know that many people get scared away when they see the cleansing or detox diet as a transition into the new Viand diet. As it seems like a lot of work, the benefits are usually seen earlier than the following easier transition that I have so often offered to those that don't want to do the work, not a problem.

Day 1. Only offer your dog low Sodium chicken broth, as much as they want.

Day 2 & 3  & 5.  Feed them HALF the amount of Viand FOR THE DAY that the package recommends.

Day 6 and on.....Feed the Viand in the proportion of 1 cup for every 35-40 pounds of animal weight PER DAY (not per meal).
